Bond has been set at $100,000 for a Metairie elementary school teacher facing child pornography charges.

27-year-old Kevin Carmouche.

Kevin Carmouche, 27, was in court Wednesday following his arrest on the charges Tuesday.

St. Bernard Parish deputies said they recovered more than 2,400 well-documented and catalogued images of child pornography that were on pictures, CDs and DVDs.

Sheriff Jack Stephens said Carmouche did not have any sexually explicit images of his fifth-grade students.

Investigators said Carmouche also had images of children taken at local festivals in St. Bernard, Metairie and on the westbank.

Deputies said they began watching Carmouche after his father was arrested last month for oral sexual battery and molestation of a juvenile.

Carmouche’s attorney said the offensive materials belonged to Carmouche’s father, and that the teacher is another one of his victims.

“When all of the information comes out, it will be shown he is a victim in this case,” said attorney Keith Couture.

How sick is this????
And, this guy has been suspended with pay. Maybe he is a victim, but he also had pornography on the same laptop he brought to school to do his lesson plans. Doesn't sound too innocent to me.

arts vs sci. still no idea why cs and kez chose arts. kept telling them arts suck on tues at mac hahaha but i still dunno the appeal of arts. lucky elaine chose sci hahaha.

hahaha cheng leng is so funny. went back jj yesterday to ask her to fill an appraisal form for ch den she was like 'why never ask mr kong? my language very lousy leh.' the new rooftop cafe so nice! the only spoiler (for me) was the entry of mr kong...drats. so comfy, diyana, hidayah and i could have just slept there ZzZZzz...later exchanged new information with tl over lunch. it's been like eons since i last stepped into jp and the jj hawker centre. i swear i could've have gotten confused over where i was at the hawker centre!
